458 Speciale

The final atmospheric V8

The 458 Speciale is Ferrari's last naturally aspirated mid-engined V8 berlinetta and the hardest road version of the 458. Its 4.5-litre engine reaches 9'000 rpm; active aerodynamics and Side Slip Control define the chassis.

Overview

Ferrari turned the 458 Italia into a lighter, faster special series without changing its basic engine architecture.

The Speciale arrived in 2013 with revised body panels, active aerodynamics, a higher-output V8 and new control software. Ferrari records 3.0 seconds to 100 km/h and a 1:23.5 Fiorano lap.

Ferrari has not published a definitive production total for the coupé. Listings that state an exact global count should be treated as estimates unless supported by factory records.

What moves the price

Two F40s can be indistinguishable in a photograph and a million apart at the hammer: the difference is never in the paint. Build the file below and watch the band move.
