A prototype behind glass
Ferrari built the 250 LM to race as a GT; the FIA classified it as a prototype instead. The chassis that won Le Mans in 1965 sold publicly in 2025, but that result prices its race history more than the type as a whole.

Estimate band for good road cars. 1 documented sales since 2019 plotted below.
Band and axis shown in EUR. Sale positions use indicative fixed-rate conversion to EUR; sale readouts retain recorded currencies. Individual race records can move a chassis outside the band.
Instrument calibration for this file is in progress — the terminal above reads the documented record directly.
Figures trace to documented public sales and published guides; extrapolated tiers are marked. The model curve is synthetic between documented sales. Nothing here is investment advice.

The vault
You keep one? The record starts in your garage — identity, papers, photography, and the market evidence this file already carries, bound to your chassis.
The value drivers
Two F40s can be indistinguishable in a photograph and a million apart at the hammer: the difference is never in the paint. Build the file below and watch the band move.
