The game became hardware
The Solus GT turns McLaren's virtual Vision Gran Turismo design into a 25-car, single-seat track machine. A naturally aspirated V10, sub-1'000 kg target and closed canopy make it separate from every road-derived McLaren around it.

Overview
McLaren published the Ultimate Vision Gran Turismo in 2017 as a digital design without road or racing regulations. Five years later it announced a physical customer programme based on the same single-seat idea.
The production Solus GT exchanged the concept's hybrid V8 for a Judd-derived 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 and a bespoke seven-speed sequential gearbox. Customers receive a fitted seat, race suit, helmet and driver-development programme with the car.
Its first public timed run came at Goodwood in July 2023. Factory driver Marvin Kirchhöfer won the shootout in 45.34 seconds, giving the car a measured result before most customer examples had been delivered.
