765LT
Less mass, shorter gearing
The 765LT stripped 80 kg from the 720S formula and shortened the final drive. McLaren announced 765-car caps for Coupé and Spider; HICONIUM records 1'428 completed, so the final count remains disputed.

Overview
The 720S was the donor, not the result.
McLaren unveiled the 765LT in March 2020. Carbon body panels, thinner glass, a titanium exhaust and deleted cabin equipment cut the lightest dry figure to 1'229 kg, while the 4.0-litre V8 rose to 765 PS.
The Coupé run was capped at 765 and sold out. A Spider followed in 2021 with its own 765-car allocation. HICONIUM's presentation catalogue records 1'428 completed across both body styles; because McLaren's contemporary material states allocation caps rather than a combined completion total, the figure remains noted as disputed.
