Overview
The second Molsheim W16
Bugatti unveiled the Chiron at Geneva in 2016 as the Veyron's replacement. The engine retained the 8.0-litre W16 format but received larger turbochargers, staged boost, duplex injection and new cooling hardware.
Customer deliveries began in 2017. The order book closed at 500 cars across the family, and the final example, Chiron Super Sport L'Ultime, left the Molsheim atelier in May 2024.

The variants
Four Chiron characters, one 500-car family
The original Chiron established the 1'500 PS formula; Sport sharpened it, Super Sport stretched and strengthened it, and Pur Sport redirected it toward downforce and handling. The 500-car ceiling covers the whole family, not one variant.

Original 1'500 PS specification · part of the 500-car family
The original road car set the family's 1'500 PS baseline. The often-quoted 500 is the cap for every Chiron version together, not a base-car production count.

The 500-car cap spans every Chiron version. Only the requested 60-car Pur Sport and 30-car Super Sport 300+ runs are separated here; null variant counts are deliberate.
