Reggiani began in Maserati's engine design office in 1982, moved to Bugatti in 1987 to work on the EB110 powertrain and transmission, and joined Lamborghini in 1995. He became Lamborghini's Chief Technical Officer and a Board of Management member in 2006, following roles in the technical mechanical department and powertrain and suspension research and development.
As CTO, he defined technology strategies for Lamborghini's V12, V10 and V8T models and its few-off cars. Lamborghini moved him to Vice-President of Motorsport in 2022; its 2023 career summary also records his work on composite materials and more than 160 related patents.
Lamborghini records composite-material work during Reggiani's technical-director years, associated with more than 160 patents. Its research partnerships included the Advanced Composite Structures Laboratory at the University of Washington and later laboratories at MIT.
