The Amelia Concours d’Elegance
March 5–8, 2026The Golf Club of Amelia Island · Amelia Island, Florida
The fixture
The Amelia is the American spring’s great lawn — a concours with a motorsport soul, built around an honoured driver each year and fields that lean toward racing provenance as much as coachwork.
The auctions that orbit the weekend have grown into a full market fixture of their own; together with the concours they make Amelia Island the first full reading of the American collector year after Kissimmee’s volume test.
Racing provenance judged on a lawn — Amelia’s classes map directly to the file’s competition chapters.

The origin
1996
The Ritz-Carlton’s Amelia Island public-relations team proposed a world-class concours on its campus; Bill Warner took it forward as a charity fundraiser. A Road & Track photographer and writer, Warner founded the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance in 1996. The first concours, held in April 1996, named Stirling Moss honoree. Hagerty acquired the concours on 23 June 2021 and said Warner would remain Chairman Emeritus. The organizer now styles it The Amelia Concours.
How it runs
- Two Best of Show
- Since 2005, The Amelia has made two Best of Show awards: Concours d’Elegance and Concours de Sport. The 2025 results identify the d’Elegance prize as the Spirit of the Concours Trophy and the de Sport prize as the Indy Motor Speedway/Tony Hulman Award.
- Four-day program
- The latest published schedule began Thursday with Broad Arrow preview and Reverie at the Ritz-Carlton. Friday marked the 8 Flags Road Tour kick-off in Fernandina Beach; Saturday staged the judged concours on the Golf Club’s fairways; Sunday closed with Cars & Caffeine, which has no judging or awards.
- Classes and entries
- Entrants submit vehicles for selection-committee review. The 2026 concours listed more than 250 vehicles across more than 35 classes. Its field included Duesenberg, Ferrari Competition, Porsche aluminum-bodied cars, Can-Am, IMSA race cars, winners at Sebring, Daytona or Le Mans, a Cars of the Honoree class, and hypercars.
- Official auction
- Broad Arrow Auctions, driven by Hagerty, is the official auction partner. In 2026 it held its two-day sale at the Ritz-Carlton on Friday and Saturday, separately scheduled from the judged concours. Other auction houses also sell during Amelia week; their hammers are auction results, not concours awards.
