Marek Reichman

British automotive designer who has led Aston Martin's design organisation since 2005 and is credited in this register for the DB5 Goldfinger Continuation, One-77, Valhalla and Vanquish Zagato. He is Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer.

Born in Sheffield in 1966, Reichman took a first-class honours degree in industrial design at Teesside University in 1989 and an MDes in vehicle design at the Royal College of Art. He began at Rover Cars in 1991. In 1995 he moved to BMW Designworks in California as a senior designer; Aston Martin later said he led the overhaul of Land Rover design direction, the most significant result becoming the 2003 Range Rover.

He joined Ford in 1999 as chief designer for Ford and Lincoln Mercury and rose to director of design for product at Ford North America. In 2005 he became Aston Martin's director of design. In December 2007 he opened a purpose-built timber studio at Gaydon, which received a RIBA Award the next May. Teesside University later recorded that over 17 years he grew the design team from four people to more than 100.

The programme that defined the studio was the One-77, previewed at Paris in 2008 and shown complete at Villa d'Este in 2009, where it won the design award. He wrote that the aim was a car closer to art than the automobile. After it the studio issued the DBS, Rapide, Vanquish and DB11. For the 2016 Vanquish Zagato Concept his team worked with Andrea Zagato; on the DB5 Goldfinger Continuation he said he had been involved in shaping the new-build car.

Aston Martin names him Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer, responsible for design developments. The register credits him as Design director for the One-77, Chief Creative Officer for the DB5 Goldfinger Continuation and Vanquish Zagato, and Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer for Valhalla. ABC News still used that title in October 2025, as did Car Design News in March 2026. Teesside awarded an honorary doctorate in 2011.
