Bugatti Design special-projects lead who worked on the Centodieci
The record
Designer whose documented Bugatti work includes the Divo, La Voiture Noire and Centodieci. Bugatti identified him as Head of Special Projects in its Design team in 2022; an April 2026 event page listed him at Volkswagen Group.
Sajonz studied Transportation Design in Braunschweig and began his career with an internship at Volkswagen. In a 2020 interview, he said Bugatti Design was upstairs; after showing Achim Anscheidt a university project, he was offered a Bugatti internship. He later wrote a thesis on a Bugatti study for autonomous racing. After graduation, Bugatti retained him as a designer.
As a designer, Sajonz worked on the Divo, the one-off La Voiture Noire and the Centodieci. A Bugatti newsroom image caption still called him an Exterior Designer in July 2020. By December, reporting described his recent promotion to Head of Special Projects at Bugatti Design after work in the five-person Bolide design team. In 2021, he and Frank Heyl accepted the Festival Automobile International award for the Bolide.
Bugatti’s September 2022 Centodieci release calls the ten-car model an homage to the EB110 Super Sport and identifies Sajonz as Head of Special Projects in the Bugatti Design Team. It quotes him on using the Chiron powertrain and monocoque as a base. A Konzepthaus biography for an April 2026 event listed him as a VW Group Design Strategist/Consultant at Volkswagen Group.
Specials into production
In the same interview, he said his promotion followed gaining the experience needed to bring cars into production. The report describes that work as keeping projects road-legal while preserving the intended design.
