## A road version of the IMSA idea.

Porsche Exclusive manager Rolf Sprenger proposed a light, more powerful Turbo while the company was under financial pressure. A Geneva study in March 1992 translated lessons from the 964 Turbo-based IMSA Supercar programme into a road-legal small series.

Production ran from July to November 1992 for the 1993 model year. The result kept the 964 Turbo's single-turbo layout but removed comfort equipment, reinforced the shell and raised output by 61 PS.
