# Sesto Elemento

Carbon, without compromise

A track-only carbon demonstrator became a twenty-car run. Lamborghini removed mass rather than adding power: 999 kg around the Gallardo Superleggera's 570 CV V10, with Forged Composite in the monocoque and suspension.

2010 · 20 built · Sant'Agata Bolognese

## The price and the proof

Indicative road-car band $2.6M–$5M. Modeled values are not observed sales. Nothing here is investment advice.

Confidence: estimate. No documented public auction sale was found in the major-house archives searched. The estimate rests on Lamborghini's €1.8 million factory price and publicly reported dealer asks of roughly $2.6 million to $4.5 million; asking prices are not completed sales.

Indicative USD band for complete, factory-specification cars with clear provenance. Track use, damage, storage history and road conversions require chassis-level adjustment.

Twenty track-only cars produce a private, low-volume market. Public advertisements establish expectations, not transaction prices.

### Documented sales

Every public sale on this file, newest first. Amounts keep the recorded currency. Source links appear only when the catalog stores a public auction-lot URL.

The ledger is deliberately empty because no completed public sale with a primary auction-house result was located.

## A materials demonstrator that reached customers

Lamborghini presented the Sesto Elemento at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. Its name refers to carbon's place as the sixth element in the periodic table; carbon-fibre material formed the car's structure, panels, wheels and suspension components.

The mechanical package came from the Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera: a 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10, six-speed e-gear transmission and permanent four-wheel drive. The difference was mass. At 999 kg dry, the Sesto Elemento was roughly half a tonne lighter than a contemporary series Lamborghini.

The concept became a run of 20 track-only cars. Forged Composite went on to appear in later Lamborghini components, while the Sesto Elemento remained the direct statement of the original idea: less material, not more power.

| Highlight | Detail |
| --- | --- |
| The structure is the interior | There are no conventional seat frames. Thin pads attach directly to the carbon tub; the steering column and pedal box move to fit the driver. The dashboard, centre tunnel and much of the cabin are exposed structural material. Red flakes in the carbon surface make the construction visible rather than covering it. |
| Mass, not boost | The V10 remained at the Gallardo Superleggera's 570 CV. A 999 kg dry weight produced 1.75 kg per CV and the factory's 2.5-second 0-to-100 km/h claim. Lamborghini described the car as a technology demonstrator. Forged Composite reduced both component mass and moulding time, making the Sesto Elemento a materials programme with an engine attached. |
| Twenty cars, no road type approval | Lamborghini built 20 customer cars at a stated €1.8 million each. They were intended for circuit use and were not homologated for public roads. That restriction limits use and public trading at the same time. Provenance, factory condition, track running and any later road conversion need separate documentation. |
