## Project P132 survived every owner that shaped it

Development began in 1985 under technical director Luigi Marmiroli. Marcello Gandini drew the body; after Chrysler acquired Lamborghini in 1987, its styling operation softened the proposal before the production car appeared in Monte Carlo on 21 January 1990.

The original car used rear-wheel drive and a 5.7-litre V12. VT four-wheel drive arrived in 1993, the SE30 reduced weight and raised output, and the roadster opened the range in 1995.

Audi acquired Lamborghini in 1998. Luc Donckerwolke led the later restyle, replacing pop-up lamps and resolving the final VT 6.0 form. Production ended in 2001 after 2'903 cars.
