It retained the CC8S carbon structure and roof system but added twin superchargers, larger brakes, larger wheels and more aerodynamic load. The Nardò run in February 2005 produced a measured 388 km/h. It broke the McLaren F1's standing production-car record before the Bugatti Veyron moved the number again later that year. Production ended in 2006 after fourteen cars.
