# CC850

Manual feel, automatic core

The CC850 puts a clutch pedal and an exposed six-position gate over Koenigsegg's nine-speed Light Speed Transmission. It gives real clutch control in manual mode, yet the same transmission can shift itself.

## The price and the proof

Indicative road-car band $2.8M–$4M. Modeled values are not observed sales. Nothing here is investment advice.

Confidence: estimate. No completed public auction sale was documented. The band rests on the catalogue's existing $3.2 million reference and the 70-car allocation rather than a sale ledger.

Indicative 2026 band for delivered cars. Build slot, delivery status, taxes and specification can produce prices that are not comparable.

Allocations and early private offers are not treated as completed transactions.

## Twenty years after the CC8S

Koenigsegg revealed the CC850 in August 2022 to mark 20 years since CC8S production and Christian von Koenigsegg's 50th birthday. The rounded body, removable roof and analogue instrument face refer to the first production car without reusing its chassis.

Underneath sits the later carbon monocoque and Light Speed Transmission architecture. The Engage Shift System adds a clutch pedal and an exposed six-position gate, then retains full nine-speed automatic operation.

The factory now states a 70-car production run. With deliveries still recent and public resales scarce, the car does not yet have a defensible sale series.

| Highlight | Detail |
| --- | --- |
| The clutch pedal is connected | Manual mode is not a software paddle-shift skin. The pedal controls clutch engagement and the exposed lever selects six mapped ratios, so a poor start can stall the engine. The selected ratio map changes with the drive mode. The gearbox can therefore present different six-speed sets while its nine internal ratios remain available to the control system. |
| Move the lever, change the system | A separate gate engages automatic mode. The same Light Speed Transmission then chooses among all nine ratios without the driver operating the clutch pedal. The collector object is the coexistence of both controls: exposed mechanical movement in the cabin and a multi-clutch transmission underneath. |
| Three matching factory numbers | On E85 the V8 produces 1'385 hp and 1'385 Nm, while the car's stated curb weight is 1'385 kg. The 1:1 power-to-weight claim depends on E85. On ordinary gasoline the factory output is 1'185 hp, so fuel specification belongs beside any performance claim. |

| Run | 70 cars |
| Power | 1'385 hp |
| Curb weight | 1'385 kg |
| Manual mode | 6 ratios · clutch pedal |
