# Vulcan

A V12 without number plates

The Vulcan is a factory-built track car, not a road car wearing a circuit package. Its 7.0-litre V12, carbon tub and Xtrac sequential gearbox came with an owner training programme because all 24 cars were intended to be driven at speed.

2015 to 2016 · 24 built · Gaydon

## The price and the proof

Indicative road-car band $2M–$3M. Modeled values are not observed sales. Nothing here is investment advice.

Confidence: estimate. An editorial estimate anchored by Gooding's $2.0m to $2.5m 2019 auction estimate, the 24-car production run and the material distinction between standard and AMR Pro cars. Public auction pages document offerings, but the reviewed sources do not publish a completed sale price.

USD; track-only status and bill-of-sale ownership can narrow the buyer pool.

Thin public trading makes a single track car's specification, support history and condition unusually influential.

## A customer race programme in all but name

Aston Martin revealed the Vulcan in 2015 as a track-only project built around a carbon-fibre structure and a 7.0-litre development of its naturally aspirated V12. Production was fixed at 24 cars worldwide.

Customer deliveries ran through 2016. The ownership programme included instruction and track support, reflecting a car whose pushrod suspension, carbon-ceramic brakes and sequential transmission sat outside normal road-car expectations.

In 2017 Aston Martin introduced the AMR Pro upgrade for the existing fleet. The package concentrated on aerodynamics and gearing; it did not create a separate production run.

| Highlight | Detail |
| --- | --- |
| No road brief | Aston Martin designed the Vulcan for closed circuits and delivered it on a bill of sale. There was no requirement for luggage space, road tyres or civilised low-speed use. |
| Power in stages | The car's output and chassis settings could be graduated as an owner gained experience. Aston Martin paired the hardware with circuit instruction rather than handing over 820 bhp without preparation. |
| AMR Pro after delivery | The later AMR Pro package added aerodynamic load and shorter gearing to existing cars. A Vulcan's present specification therefore matters as much as mileage when two examples are compared. |

| Power | 820 bhp |

## What moves the price

Spans are indicative, drawn from documented public sales. Calibrated multipliers for a specific chassis remain member instruments.

| Value driver | Indicative range | Meaning | Documentary evidence |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| AMR Pro specification | +5% to +15% | Factory-developed aero and gearing package, with specification and installation records. | The upgrade materially changes the car and was offered only to the 24 existing owners. |
| Complete track equipment | +3% to +10% | Original covers, jacking equipment, dollies, steering-wheel case and support records. | |
| Heavy circuit use | −10% to −30% | Unrecorded accident repair, heat-cycle history or expired lifed components. | |
