# DB4 GT Continuation

A factory-built second run

Aston Martin Works built 25 new DB4 GTs at Newport Pagnell with continuation chassis numbers. They are track-only, not road-registerable in their intended specification, and use a 340 bhp twin-plug six.

2017 to 2018 · 25 built · Newport Pagnell

## The price and the proof

Indicative road-car band $850K–$1.5M. Modeled values are not observed sales. Nothing here is investment advice.

Confidence: estimate. The only USD public result documented here is the programme prototype, modified after delivery. The band also considers the £1.5 million pre-tax factory price, but does not convert it into a ledger observation.

Indicative USD range for factory-built continuation cars; road conversions and mechanical changes require separate appraisal.

## Newport Pagnell restarted production for 25 cars

Aston Martin announced the programme in 2016 and detailed it in early 2017. The brief was the original DB4 GT lightweight: short wheelbase, two seats, thin aluminium and a twin-plug straight-six.

Modern scanning improved panel consistency, while the cars remained hand-finished by Aston Martin Works. The engine grew to 4.2 litres and 340 bhp; brakes, safety and handling were also updated without changing the four-speed layout.

The run was limited to 25 track-only cars. First deliveries began in 2017, accompanied by a two-year international circuit programme rather than ordinary road registration.

| Highlight | Detail |
| --- | --- |
| New parts, old production site | Aston Martin Works constructed the cars from newly made components at Newport Pagnell, where the original DB4 GT had been built. Production returned to the site ten years after the last first-generation Vanquish S. |
| A continuation, clearly separated | The chassis sequence follows the final original DB4 GT order, but the cars were made in 2017 and 2018. Their value should not be benchmarked directly against the 75 period DB4 GTs. |
| Built to be driven on circuit | The delivery programme included track running and driver training. Cars with documented use, later road conversions or non-factory mechanical upgrades need separate assessment. |

| Label | Value |
