The cars with no comparable — where the record has to be perfect because there is nothing else to lean on. Drawn from the same ledger of 219 documented models.

A car enters this list when the catalogue records a single example built — a commission, a prototype that stayed alone, a coachbuilt body never repeated. Small series are not one-offs and are not here; where a marque built two or three of something, the model keeps its place in the main index and the count is stated on its file.

The distinction is a pricing one before it is an editorial one. Everything else in the register can be triangulated against its siblings; these cars cannot. Their valuation rests on provenance, condition and the documented history of the one chassis that exists — which is why their files are the ones we ask the most of.
